Somehow we hadn't gotten around to eating here after 3 years in Marshalltown, and I'm glad we finally did! We got the 2 person platter (which could really feed 3) and every single side/meat option was phenomenal. We will be back!
Stopped on our way through Marshalltown to buy some records then needed lunch. The guy at the record store recommended BBQ. We were not disappointed. The burnt ends were simply fabulous as were the daily specials- prime rib sandwich and bacon and pn&j burger.
If you like BBQ you will NOT be disappointed in Smokin G's! They have great service too! They have so many choices for sides, I had a hard time picking... but I chose well. Get the cheesy potatoes and corn bread muffin! Love the people, the place and the food!!!
Came here on a business trip for dinner and had the chicken and bib combo. Absolutely the best smoked chicken and barbecue ribs I have ever eaten. I will be back next visit and highly recommend to anyone looking for great food at a reasonable price in a casual atmosphere.
I can NOT wait to go back!!! This place is amazing especially when the server comes out and tells you how many racks of ribs they have or briskets that they are cooking just to let you know that it might be a little while. I have been here multiple times and the service and the food has been freaking amazing!!!!
